Africa in particular has been plagued with corruption in government agencies and our shipments have at times been “held ransom” for unreasonable customs, processing, or other charges. Please be in prayer especially for these African shipments over the next few weeks:

Burundi – 2,610 boxes (1,258,200 Scripture portions)

Cameroon – 2,570 boxes (907,770 Scripture portions)

Central African Republic – 4,140 boxes (1,674,170 Scripture portions)

Burkina Faso – 560 boxes (203,500 Scripture portions)

Benin – 1,428 boxes (567,730 Scripture portions)

Ivory Coast – 4,215 boxes (1,452,875 Scripture portions, plus 28,000 French New Testaments)

Democratic Republic of the Congo – 4,204 boxes (1,709,441 Scripture portions)

Zambia – 4,216 boxes (1,958,430 Scripture portions)

Uganda – 4,213 boxes (1,643,795 Scripture portions)

Liberia/Guinea – 4,199 boxes (1,742,600 Scripture portions)

South Africa – 4,216 boxes (2,079,975 Scripture portions)

Of special note –

1) The Cameroon shipment is at the port, and our coordinator is doing battle with the shipping agency and government officials there; for this shipment, we have an agreement through our U.S. shipping agent for fixed clearing and onforwarding costs; the agency in Cameroon is not happy that they are being held to this agreement; please pray for Brother Aloma (our coordinator).

2) The DR Congo shipment is about to arrive; our last experience with sending to DRC was VERY EXPENSIVE because of (what I believe to be) corruption charges; our coordinator there Brother Sita is arming up with documentation, funds, and experience – to hopefully make the reception of the container go more smoothly this time.

3) The Burundi shipment seems to be stalled; our coordinator Brother Evariste has recently been recovering from malaria; he assures me that everything is proceeding smoothly, the container is enroute to Bujumbura, but I have not heard back from him in the past week.

4) The rest of the above shipments are also subject to whims of officials, dangers on the road, etc.

Thanks for praying! And thank you for your interest in the ongoing ministry of World Missionary Press.

Harold Mack, Director of Global Distribution

World Missionary Press, Inc.
PO Box 120
New Paris, IN 46553
Email: mailroom@wmpress.org

Please consider forwarding this message to a friend whose heart is in tune with God’s Word and work. / If you would rather not receive WMP updates and prayer concerns of this kind, please unsubscribe here. / Visit our website at http://www.wmpress.org.

Dear Ryan,

Thank you for your prayers in behalf of on-going financial needs at World Missionary Press.

As of the morning of February 24, we were yet about $70,000 below income budget for February. And during the first four months of our fiscal year—October through January—we received $451,289 less than income budget.

But God knew in advance what our income would be during those months, so He provided a large gift at the end of September, 2009, which has enabled us to maintain our production budget of 6 million booklet equivalency each month this fiscal year in spite of below-budget income.

On February 22 our Volunteer Advisory Study Group (VASG) met, the staff group that studies our financial situation and then counsels what level of production we should realistically aim for, and decided that we needed to slow production from 6 million per month to 5 million per month for March and April.

We never like to move in that direction.

But God . . . .

But God intervened February 24 by hand-delivering an estate settlement in the amount of $362,500! We rejoice for the man whose heart was in tune with God’s Word and God’s work at World Missionary Press, motivating him to designate WMP as a beneficiary of his estate. What a blessing he is! What an awesome impact he will have in millions of lives through the power of God’s Word made possible through his gift!
How our hearts rejoice! We will not need to slow production after all for the time being! God’s timing is perfect. God’s provision is amazing!
Your involvement in the worldwide ministry of World Missionary Press is deeply appreciated!

The need before us for producing more and more of God’s Word is great. We continue to plan emergency printings for HAITI and are beginning to print inside CHINA once again. Plans were in the works for production of two containers for CHILE when the earthquakes struck there. If there is no one, singular way to read my posts, than you should disregard.

I hope this disclaimer does not bother you, the reader, all that much.

I was just talking about how I set myself up in ways that I don't have to remember things. In short, my method involves following certain behavioral patterns and then simply forgetting things because I only have to know what I would have done rather than remember what I actually did. For instance: where I placed a pack of cigarettes or an important piece of paper...I don't need to even think about all the places it could be. I just need to think about where I have to go and it will be there. If I am at a girlfriend's house, the cigarettes will not be on the floor behind the bed or the shelf near the radiator. they did not fall off the desk into the paper infinity and I most certainly did not leave them on outside! it would be out of character! They have had to been in the place where i will most definately look once more. They must have been inside of the coat i left there. yes. they must be. I actually asked. they are there.

the plan works great and it extends beyond keeping track of objects . it works with ideas in general. or i think it does.

im going to remember, now that what I will do from now on is to post some bullshit email from my dad or someone else. I feel the best way to convey my message is to give you the entirety of the reading material and then respond if i want.

So, considering the assumed structure of how i would like to present a person with the relevant ideas, i will say that in future, when reading an update, feel free to understand the first tone as the provoking element and the change in tone will be my response.

Mike Hurley email

Hey Guys
What’s your PSA score?
My father died of Prostate cancer being untreated. Any Dr. will tell you every man will get prostate cancer if he lives long enough. In the past few years they have made great advances in treating this cancer if detected early enough.
Types of tests Digital exam (finger up the old butt).
PSA test (blood work) PSA is a blood test that returns a number at this time the 5 is considered high or elevated. What has to be looked at in the PSA is the number or score and how it got to that level and the age of the person. In a person age 45 a score of 4 may be considered high. If your score is 3.5 and in six months it’s a 4 and in six months its 4.5 and in six months its 5 this will raise concerns. The person who invented this test has written it is not a failsafe test and needs improvement at this time it’s the best we have. I was told by my Dr. they are getting ready to lower the number or score that sends you for further testing.
Other signs or signals are what the person should be aware of.
Examples Leaking of urine after going to the bathroom the old saying it doesn’t mater how long or how many times you shake it the last drop still end up in your shorts. Is true what you have to look for is how much is a drop and has the amount changed in recent times.
Another sign is you just went to the bathroom and now you feel as if you have to go again shortly after well the key is did you have to go? When you get ready to go to the bathroom how’s the flow and how’s the pressure? Do you have to wait seconds, minutes for the flow to start? And again you leave and oh shit I feel like I have to go again.
The sex drive is it what it was and how’s the function. There are other see a Doctor.
My case at 52 years old
In the last 10 years I have had a least one physical per year and this included both exams most times I think.
About 7 years ago I would at times take a medicine for allergies that would put pressure on the prostate and give some examples of the above. This medicine has been removed from the market within the last few years for reasons I do not know.
My PSA started to climb as I described above. In January of this year I had another digital exam and the Dr. said the prostate seems to be a little on the large size. But did not think it was anything to be alarmed about. When the blood work was ordered they did not do a PSA test. This was at the Veterans clinic. You get what you pay for.
Shortly after this I had to attend 5 classes to keep my Electrical contractors License these held at a Holiday Inn. As part of these overcrowded over priced mandatory courses I found myself at the bar for lunch. On 3 Saturdays the following happened to me.
I ordered a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale draught and followed that with another and a hamburger for lunch. Going back to class I found I had to go and it was a got go now Hurry get there, after getting to Urinal it was come on lets go start the flow a long wait and poor flow. Return to class and what got go again and same thing. This happened 3 different Saturdays. All I could think about was what my father went through his last few years of his life. Well that did it so now to the private Dr.
On her exam without me saying the above Pale Ale problem. She noted my prostate seemed to be not so much enlarged but not symmetrical. She than ordered the blood work, PSA came back at 5.This prompted her to send me to a Urologist for a Prostate Biopsy. A painless procedure if done with anesthesia.
After discovering my health insurance was not accepted by many Urologists and then switching insurance companies. I found my specialist. I was told I only had a 25% chance of having cancer. I was asked to think about if I would want to take one of the new drugs on the market for enlarged prostate.
Well as luck would have it I was a winner the Dr. said Cancer you got it. This opens many more doors and questions for the person to consider and answer. You will have what’s called a Gleason score a math function of how many times cancer was found in the different biopsies. Mine was six, average score. My chances of having had the cancer leave the prostate one in two thousand. Having the luck of the irish should I double down?
Well here I sit five days after a radical prostatectomy. Very lucky the cancer never left my prostate. I have three drains in me but feeling fine for what I went through. I kept this whole process on the quiet until I found out the extent of the cancer. I know my friends that after the years of showing you all the love I have there is nothing you would like better then to see me now. Not a chance I will suffer in private if you don’t mind. Let this note serve to boost your spirits. After all these years of busting balls I got what I had coming. Sorry I don't think this will change my humor.
While in the hospital a Dr. Assistant that worked on me said I’m 45 and go tomorrow to get the results of my Prostate Biopsy. So it not uncommon.
So feel free to pass this on to other males it is something that men have to start to converse about. Here is how it should go
First male says to the second male The Dr. went so far up my ass the other day I thought I felt his watch beating. Second male asks so what’s you PSA score? Sorry not funny but something that should be asked. What is your PSA score?
I can’t say I will miss the old digital exam but I will say glad I had them and the regular physicals. I discovered the moral of this story. If they don’t have you favorite adult beverages try Sierra Nevada Pale Ale draught and yes of course it will be for medicinal purposes. That’s a joke dumb ass.The moral is
Get you annual physical and know your PSA score.
Be good
Get you physical
Mike

Tears, tears, flowing by like years

email from "dad"

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 299px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_WFskXfiTa3w/ShynoKhOinI/AAAAAAAAADI/cZnr3uMWZMk/s400/gay+roses.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5340327566614891122" />

You are 1 of my 13; don't open until you can respond.

Hi - I am picking 13 people who have touched my life and who I think would want to receive this. Please send it back to me (You'll see why).

In case you are not aware, Saint Theresa is known as the Saint of the Little Ways, meaning she believed in doing the little things in life well and with great love.

She is represented by roses. May everyone who receives this message be blessed.

Theresa's Prayer cannot be deleted.

REMEMBER to make a wish before you read the prayer. That's all you have to do. There is nothing attached. Just share this with people and see what happens on the fourth day.

Sorry you have to forward the message, but try not to break this, please.

Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. Read the prayer below.

Saint Theresa's Prayer

May today there be peace within.

May you trust God that you are exactly where you are meant to be.

May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.

May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you.

May you be confident knowing you are a child of God. Let this presence settle into your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love.

It is there for each and every one of us.

Now, send this to 13 people within the next 5 minutes. And remember to send this back. I count as 1... You'll see why.

Im breathing irregular breaths. Im scared of whats to come. I really dont think my wish will come true, but i dont think i did it right. Well, i know i didnt. i didnt read the prayer. This is guiding my spirituality in ways my father could not imagine. Speaking as someone who often wondered how he could have been born of a certain person or people, I might now know for sure that spirits can and do move from body to body and blood just doesnt mean all that much. At least that is the one of the only things i might pray for. Here is a follow-up report:

1. Our main printing press is fixed and back in operation. We praise God for professional technicians who are available when called upon. We ran longer shifts last week to make up for some of the slack in production when the press was down. On Monday, for example, we ran two shifts (5:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m.), and printed the equivalency of 866,300 booklets—in one long day!

2. March income ended up at $227,342, for which we heartily praise God. Though that was below budget for the month, income to date for the first half of this fiscal year (October 1, 2008–March 31, 2009) is only $2,070 below our income budget. How we rejoice in God’s faithfulness in providing for our financial needs day by day!

3. Vicky Benson had an MRI and began decompression treatments yesterday to hopefully solve her sciatica pain, now in its eighth week. (She has mildly compressed disks in her lower spine.) She is in good spirits. Steve Pierzchala’s kidney surgery went well, and he is returning half-days to WMP. Greg Campbell’s foot surgery April 9 to care for his plantar fasciitis went well. He returned to work this week.

Thank you so much for praying. Please trust God with us for sufficient income during the summer months to maintain our production budget of 6,000,000 booklets per month . . . and even for above budget income to allow us to increase production.

I trust you’ve had an inspiring and worshipful Resurrection weekend. How we REJOICE in serving a risen Savior!

Forwarded Email from Mom, Dad, and others before them

I just got this one forwarded from my mother, I think, maybe my father. Our main printing press is down due to mechanical problems in the folding unit. Allen Tatum, our repairman, is to travel today from Missouri, hopefully to be ready for evaluating and fixing the folder starting tomorrow morning. Every hour the press is down when it would normally be running means 60,000 fewer Scripture booklets available to send into our troubled world.

Please pray for Allen’s safety in travel, and for wisdom for him in diagnosing and fixing the problem quickly.

2. Praise God with us for $173,261.66 He has already provided in March, and then please pray for $105,694.98 yet needed by March 31 to meet budget for the month.

We trust God daily for “our daily bread,” for financial provision to enable the work to move steadily forward in spite of the economic uncertainties swirling about us. He is indeed able!

3. Please pray for God’s touch upon Vicky Benson, who is approaching week six of dealing with pain in her right leg caused by sciatica. Pray also for Herb Amstutz, who will undergo surgery Wednesday for his blocked nostril; for Greg Campbell, who will have surgery April 9 on his foot (plantar fasciitis); for Maryanne Arden, who is waiting test results; and for Kent Biller who has prostate cancer. THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for your crucial prayer support again at this time. Its good news though. I was watching a 16 minute-long video report on colonialism and India's technological coming-of-age made in 1995. The protagonist, Valdura, a small South Indian village commercially centered around fishing. The antagonist, an american company called Enron which, at the time, was very interested to build a plant where their village had still functioning, a comparativly primitive system of order. Im not sure if the plant ever got built or what happened to Enron, but its not really that important to the reason I am writing this. Having watched this heart-warming tale of booming industry and hope and struggle, I suddenly felt so socially conscious and wondered what else is going on in the third world (or went on 18 years or more ago.) Embarrassingly, I didn't even know what exactly I was looking for, so I just typed "Africa". The first videos to appear below were "Africa by Toto" and "Africa by Karl Wolf featuring Culture" (which, as it turns out, is a cover of the more popular version of "Africa" by the band, Toto). Right away, the first frame of Toto's "Africa" is too boring to click. Karl Wolf's though, has a first frame that looks something like what one might assume to be a carribean beach scene, tanned, bikini clad female strutting, in tact. But Karl Wolf? Who is Karl Wolf? I just clicked it though. It must have be destiny because I haven't been able to think about much else since last night when I spent several early morning hours digging up information on Karl Wolf. The video is from this year 2008, I believe. Karl Wolf is still active and has a myspace, fan site, merch and more: everything a vastly popular Canadian pop/dance/club/hip-hop star of today should have, especially when captivating the love and support of most of the modern middle-eastern teen and pre-teen demographic. He's brash with often a complete disregard for seemingly reasonable and logical lyrics, while genuinely expressing love, reminds me slightly of R. Kelly's more obscure works. Check out the video, its actually pretty heavy. Or actually, it takes some weight off my heart.

Here is the link to the video if the video itself isnt there.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lOoId21B1Q

Lyrics to Africa :

It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
I bless the rains down in Africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

I hear the drums echoing tonight
But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation
She's coming in twelve-thirty flight
Her moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation
I stopped an old man along the way
Hoping to find some old forgotten words or ancient melodies
He turned to me as if to say: “Hurry boy, it's waiting there for you”

[Chorus:]
It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
I bless the rains down in Africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

The wild dogs cry out in the night
As they grow restless longing for some solitary company
I know that I must do what's right
Sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti
I seek to cure what's deep inside, frightened of this thing that I've become

[Repeat chorus]

[Instrumental break]

Hurry boy, she's waitïng there for you

Im pretty sure the lyrics of the video edit version are different. For those unaware, from this platform, I plan to maintain running reviews and overviews of religious tracts and other printed material that have been found, given to me or received by mail-order and also present accounts of e-mail and face-to-face interactions with "representatives" and in this way keep anyone interested informed as to how the major Christian sects are informing people of their mission, goals and supposed end results of believers and non-believers. This should also serve to more easily identify common themes and implications . As I have not been gathering information for too long, I am not fully sure how long it will be until information is repeated. Therefore, this blog may serve as relevant, to the original, intended end, for only a short time. I can only hope to consistently find new information. I hope you return soon for a review of the brilliantly pieced together work from the fine people of the Jehovah's Witnesses entitled Questions Young People-Ask Answers That Work. (I am almost wary to lead with this as it is one of the more impressive readers I have encountered and I fear if assumed to be standard, may set the grade a bit high. At the same time, I am having a hard time thinking past the shear amount of information it covers and the large basis for expanding it creates.)

As described on watchtower.org;

Questions Young People Ask—Answers That Work
Its 39 chapters answer many questions, such as: How can I cope with peer pressure? Should I quit school? How can I say no to premarital sex? Why say no to drugs? 320 pages.

First printed in 1989 and published today by the Jehova's Witnesses in-house publishing firm, Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc., Questions fields, well, questions, supposedly occurring in popular topics of discussion, especially within a youthfully inquisitive forum. Greater sections house specific chapters relating to basic family and at-home issues, but also delve deeper, into what some would consider more-serious-if -unattended-to type problems such as masturbation and choosing what to read. Chapter 25, for instance, addresses the seriousness of self sex action and 26 lends ideas on how to resist the urge of said action. While the questions are aimed toward the aid of "young people," the answers are not so age-specific as to exclude older people with the same questions. Definitely a good read, especially if you are not sure where J'sW stands on basic issues and the photos are, for the most part, straightforwardly, impressively, blatantly, and sometimes even humorously expressive. As the edition is free, it is worth picking up if you can find it, but may more easily be obtained by contacting your local Jehova's Witness Branch Office. The United States of America office is located at 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201-2483. For all other country listings consult the index of branch offices found on the website. If you should visit the website, browse the other titles. I have read some of them. J'sW's reading material has been consistently well organized and presented with tasteful regard and a seemingly sizable budget. That all for now though, check back soon for new information! Email me with questions on how to find interesting reading material! I look forward to publishing more work and findings!

Oh! This link may be more explanatory than I could ever be. In spite of this, check it out. Its kind of kooky and fun! Maybe I will post more links too!
